It's just a lid but it is one of my favorite graniteware colors. Chrysolite is a greenish color, there is a long explanation but as graniteware is a glass covering a combination of minerals make this color. Highly likely it is over 100 years old as the swirl pattern is out of style in the 1920s. As is mentioned in the title this is 10" across. The second photo shows the underside.
Photo #3 shows where it is displayed now. I changed out what was displayed there but that is not the new display. Just changed things up a bit.
Photo #4 is the new display. I am spreading the items hung from the ceiling out and rearranging them in a less random manner. Still working on this so stay tuned for updates!
And who would've thunk it Brian! :^D They really do look nice, but I never thought about collecting the Lids of Graniteware, without the Pots, but displayed with all your other pieces, looks good! Thanks for showing! :^)
I grew up in a house with ceilings like yours....nice!! Interesting items!
thank you very much Bill. They fit in the plate holders so I went with that.
Thank you very much Watchsearcher. The ceiling is wasted space so I found a use for it.
