AHH!!! He's such a sweet little birdie, I love his pose and his really long tail! I wonder do you know of a bird called a pied wagtail? We have loads of them here and we call them 'Willie Wagtails' because of the huge wagging tails they have and yours makes me think of one of these birds exactly, he's lovely!
He is a Wagtail Lauren!!
Such a beautiful ruby red songbird!!

Lauren thank you for IDing this red bird for me, I thought it had an unusually long tail, I looked up wagtails online and saw the same body shape! This is a wild bird I've never seen in NY or anywhere else, very excited to learn about this species as I love all birds. Your wonderful comments always teach me so much & are super appreciated
Thanks Karen for the great comment and for another wagtail vote, as a bird lover I have a bit of envy for Australia where you have the most beautiful tweeters right outside your window, how I would love to see a flock of parakeets or cockatoos, sigh
Scott many thanks for the kind compliment, I was really glad to get this older red bird from Pilgrim as it is hard to find these vintage window glass animals esp in red
Hi Roycroft, thank you for the encouraging words I'm glad you like my stuff, I try to put up some nice pieces and sorta rotate the colors esp glass. Red is one of the hardest for me to find so it was nice when this birdie came along
Wow Eileen you are right, this bird is 50, hard to believe it's from 1969 which was such a banner year - you had the Doors and Fifth Dimension, NY won top honors in both football (Jets, with my fave QB Joe Namath) and baseball (NY Mets), those were the days! I know you love ruby red and am always glad to find a pretty animal to show you, many thanks as always for your fabulous comment :)
Many thanks Thomas for the thoughtful love, it's always super appreciated & glad you enjoyed this bird
Thanks officialfuel I'm very glad you enjoyed this red bird, appreciate the thoughtfulness
