I found these 2 cups and saucers in our local Antiques Centre today. They are not terribly exciting for most people, As they are creamware made by Wedgwood with a relief of hunting scenes, and marked on the base Wedgwood - D'ye Ken John Peel 1829 - Eturia England, but this John Peel was my 4 Greats Grandfather, so I tend to pick up collectables when I see them. I'm not sure of the significance of the date 1829, as John Peel dates are 1776-1854. It maybe dates from when Woodcock Graves wrote the song "D'ye Ken John Peel" the song that made John Peel famous! I think these date from the 1930's, but I can't actually find any like these. They have very deep saucers.
The raised hunting scene designs are really beautiful
