I thought this was old when I first saw it and the registration lozenge confirmed it . Registered 16th. June (M), and I think 1848 (U). The closest reg. no. to this is 52328 given to WH, B&J Richardson on 13/6/1848., thanks to the great-glass website for this. Bought for £1 it's a rummer or pub glass. Height 6".

The rummer in the third photo is one I acquired a while ago. It seems to have a cut pontil and has lots of faults and bubbles one of which on the base has been chipped open. All this adds to its character. Having looked at it again I think the design is based on an artichoke or possibly a flower.
