I received this from a dear friend's Grandmother years ago and I've always loved it. I recently pulled it back out to move it to a more predominant place and I was just wondering if anybody knows the maker of this? While it shares the look of Fenton, the identifying marker on the bottom doesn't match.

Looks like Fenton to me. The color is called “Dusty Rose Overlay.” What does the bottom say?

Timeframe of your vase is 1940ish.

I’m not sure what the bottom of it says. The stamp looks like a ribbon. The other mark is unclear.

I’m wondering if this “ribbon” could be some sort of defect during production?!?! Perhaps a mold or straw mark or some other flaw. Several of my Fenton pieces have defects from production.

I’m not sure. It looks pretty intentional. I added two additional photos that may be a little clearer for the bottom.

It is Fenton, but as for the year, I do not know. I just recognize it from my past.

Your vase is Fenton mould 192. The color is Rose Overlay. It was produced from 1948-49 only. In 1950 fenton put beads onto this form and it became their very popular Beaded Melon line.

There is no mark to the base. What you are picking up is just random from manufacture. Fenton didn't put a logo on their wares until the reintroduction of carnival glass starting in 1970.
