Need help figuring out what these are for. But it says good for 25 in trade an on the back it’s say W.H.L.

i wonder what kind of 'trade' they are referring to?!
I doubt it was "street corner" business, Ho 2. LOL !!
I found 3 of them in the same spot couple feet spreaded out while metal detecting an I can’t find nothing about them. Curious of how old they are.
Tokens have been used for centuries as a promotion for businesses and to be a substitute for unavailable legal tender. They are a slice of the collectors pie. During the War of Northern Aggression, with loss of the 80% federal revenue from the South, and it's growing federal debt., tokens became wide-spread. It became a period of confusion about how to pay debts when the Federal gov't was in increasing debt, and is not easy study to get clear answers from. Then there is the street level token for business promotion, that are even currently used. Tokens dated during the War of Northern Aggression are a field of their own & usually worth more.
