Very cute little squirrel!!!
He's such a cute little creature- I ADORE his colouring! It's so nice to see a true red squirrel and they are such lovely creatures, where I live we have both the greys and the reds which have unfortunately been pushed out of their habitats by the bigger grey squirrel(the red's are the local species here!) but I think both species are very sweet- your's looks slightly shocked like he's came back to a particular patch of woodland and has found his stored acorn stolen
Many thanks for the love all

Thanks Scott for the great compliment my friend, I am so glad you saw the cuteness in this naughty acorn stealer lol
Right Eileen, isn't this a perfect squirrel color, we occasionally see the red-brown type here in NY but mostly have grey. They are very aggressive at this time of year which is "their" time, sometimes they run in front of you so fast they scare you! I did know they forget where they bury their nut stash but no matter, they dig up other squirrels bounty to eat lol. Thanks so much for the lovely words as always
Thank you Ken for the wonderful and generous compliments you give me the kindest praise, I may have a pretty big glass animal collection, but I share with you in having some very cool and historic animal figural jewelry, it's so much fun to collect animal pieces and I love to share them with others as I know you do also, CW is the best showcase for our vintage stuff isn't it
Lauren thank you for the fabulous comment & compliments, once again you've got the animal's expression nailed, he is sort of staring at his little hands in amazement, like "who stole my acorns!" lol! Wedgwood really only did a series of glass animals in the 70s like this one, but I have a few others and their designer really captured the animal very well. You are so lucky to have both types of squirrel, it is so true that the grey variety seems to have the upper hand and in NY they are quite bold, they are not afraid of people (I know many people do feed them, which is fine except you've got yourself a friend for life, same with seagulls at the beach) and sometimes as I walk by someone's backyard fence, a couple squirrel buddies will scale the fence and turn to you beseechingly, it's a cute behavior but rather unnerving
Cute, looks like it is reaching down to get an acorn :)
He does look as though he's lost his little nut MrsT, thank you so much for your wonderful comment & love
Thank you Sean for the fabulous love & support
You have a glass Zoo going on too !!
Yup, I am an equal opportunity zoo, jewelry & glass both welcome lol! Thanks for the nice comment Rose, it really is fun to explore the animal kingdom in all its repros, I just have to watch repeating the same animals & try to bring in new species :)
