These are a couple of Tobacco Jars that I aquired and do not know anything about them. I would like to know a era that this style is from and where they originated. Any info would certainly be helpful. Thank you

the shape was popular at a particular stage I think 1830 with the barrel shape of the main part, with the superior artistry of painting interesting scenes or ppl and that rather middle eastern borrowed stopper or lid in the shape of a place or worship...so one assumes an almost sounier of the tourist aspect of the grand tour...but then reproduced early to mid 20th Century to show similar aspects of increased ease of Eurpopean travel, prior to and in between and after with other souvenier type items, Sorrentoware of southern Italy, Music Boxes and tables included in that lot with the inlaid workmuseum minature of object d'art of galleries, then followed by the prints of great masters in post cards of the Victorian era, then posters took off post 1920's onwards.

So this appears to me to be too good to be a reproduction but it is some type of series ware that could be French, Swiss or even BRITISH...But I could be completely wrong...I'll photograph again my reproduction item and show you what I meant...:) Good luck, the next "collector" could wipe me off the chair, straight to the floor and ceremoniously dumped on the front door step of out historic museum namely CW ...lol...but we all mean well...Anne xxx
