Found a bisque head doll about 2 inches long marked with Germany on the neck. Blue eyes and faint tint on hair, eyebrows and lips. Found a miniature bisque doll fragment about 1.5 inches long, very thin, with pinholes for the arms. Can anyone tell me more about them. The doll head was picked up at a thrift store years ago, the doll fragment was found on private property doing archeology, was given by property owner. Assuming the doll head is a possibly modern replica and the doll fragment is late 1800s. Very curious, historian in me would love to learn more.
Much Thanks!
The large bisque doll had is a antique not modern reproduction. Some of the paint has wore off . She is similar to a Heubach doll . They are dollhouse dolls . Dating appx around 1910-20 . Hard to tell exact maker with no makers marks on them . What a fun find !
Thank you Manikin! I had no idea the bigger one was an antique. I will check out Heuback. Thank you for your help!
