Chinese Sterling Silver Box
I purchase this from an estate of an Ambassador where there were many great items.
The box Height 2 inches, Width 2 3/8 inches, weighs 38 grams
There are some Chinese calligraphy on the bottom of the box.
Also there is a seal on one side of the box.
I have no idea what type of box or it's use.
Can someone please give me more information on this item.

Could have been a mustard pot as theres a hole for the spoon or some implement. Whatever it was used for I think its magnificent and of some value. Neil
