Recently I came across this large heavy purple or amethyst glass vase 10 inches high and about five pounds. It was a buy it now and the price was fabulous so I pounced.

It turns out that it had a small label upside down of Bohemian Glass, Czechoslovakia, and the vase was documented as early pressed glass from the 70s designed by ***(Vaclav, is the wrong name, after seeing it used on several period Sklo glass pieces somehow the accurate name failed me: RUDOLPH Jurnickl, and was properly documented by Mark Hill in the clear version, there is a range of colors he used, several ambers, dark green, blue and this purple, which seems to be the rarest.

Really impressive with daylight shining through it and illusion of more impressed circles on the flat surface, it is rectangular, with a rounded rim and a foot rest.

***I failed to use the correct first name in this post, it should gave been Rudolph not Vaclav. Sorry for the error. Names were never my strong point and after having lost my vision in one eye this year, its even more of a challenge.

That would be Rudolf, in the country we are speaking of.
