Delft Tile by Karel Appel

I think that this was done in the 1950s by Karel Appel - one of the founders of the Cobra movement in the 1940s. He is a Dutch artist who lived in NYC in his later years and died in 2006. The quality of this piece is really amazing. there is a Delft stamp near his signature on the back.
