Fun find at the Goodwill this afternoon...see also this YouTube video which no doubt relates rather directly to its inspiration, at least? ;-)

About 9" tall overall, still retaining its original cardboard label tied on with a hemp (? would seem sensible anyways...??) string around its base. In reality its actual glass "stem" was probably first manufactured to be a cheapish candleholder that has now been glued to its "cup" part -- that, while seemingly perfectly scaled to a real red SOLO cup (without my having one of those handy at the moment to directly compare it to?) is otherwise made of a sturdier melamine-like plastic.
I'm thinking it'll be an amusing little thing to eventually take w/me to the next 'family reunion', etc., so nobody else will be able to mistake which one is "my cup"...??? ;-) <lol>
The fabled tailgate pattern. Luv it !
I made a set of those with the red solo cups. The glass candle holders came from the dollar store.
I now have a more “upscale” version made with a pint mason jar instead of the red solo cup.
We call this type drinking glass “Redneck Stemware”. :^D
CHEERS and THANKS to fortapache, Newfld, blunderbuss2, Watchsearcher, Brunswick, & aura for your <love it>s and fun comments!! :-) :-) :-)
I do like that idea with the mason jar too Watchsearcher...despite Toby Keith's admonition to those of us who "prefer drinkin' from glass"...? <LOL>
