This was purchased as a gift for my husband who studies geology. I love it. It is huge and heavy.
A large ammonite Orthoceras fossil. The piece has been shaved down to show the smooth spear shapes. Other than the spears, this stone has a rough texture. This piece weighs about 100 pounds.
