I acquired this piece around 2013 from a regionally well known auctioneer (they are well known nationally now). I am curious if anyone can point out the particular attributes that make it a real Eastlake as opposed to "Eastlake Style."
This is the auction house's decription:
Antique Walnut Eastlake Dresser Dressing Table Chest with Marble Top and Mirror
    Item Details
A stately dresser in walnut with a gray and pink toned marble top and ornately framed mirror. The elegant carvings and monumental pediment surrounding the mirror also feature two small shelves on either side. The dresser itself, is solid walnut throughout. It features two drawers with notched peg construction, dating this piece circa 1880-1895. Each drawer is finished with escutcheons and two sets of brass drop pulls featuring black glass beads.
    Condition
2 Pull knobs and one small trim piece @ lock are present bot not attached. Wear is consistent with age. Scuffs, scratches, imperfections are present. However, they do not detract from the beauty of the piece. The mirror has a little "smoke" to show its age. The marble has been polished and given a protective low luster finish. The wood finish is original. It has been cleaned, conditioned and coated with Beeswax Polish.
    Dimensions
    43.5" W x 88.0" H x 19.0" D

"Style" is used to describe a piece that is not of the original era.

The cuts on the top pieces and the overall construction of the mirrored section looks a little off.

A photo of the back would be helpful.
