I acquired this chair at the same sale in 2013 where I acquired this piece (link):
    https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/272652-eastlake-dresser-dressing-table-chest?in=user

As I mentioned in the notes of "Eastlake Dresser? Dressing Table, Chest, Vanity?," I am curious as to why the auction house called the dresser Eastlake. The description of this item did not mention Eastlake. The dresser and this chair came from the same historical "mansion" type estate. Does anyone know if this chair "Eastlake Style" or "Victorian?" and why?
This was the auction house's description:
A lovely corsette back parlor arm chair is in green velvet. This lovely chair has a tufted upholstered back set into the wood corset frame, padded upholstered embellishments to the wood arms, and a rounded upholstered seat. All of the upholstered areas are trimmed with gold braid. The back has a central carved wood crown with a bust carved within a central oval. Carved pineapples on each chair side finish the wood embellishment to the chair back. The apron is dimensional with applied simple carvings to its surface. The legs are turned and have metal casters with ceramic rollers.

    Condition
The chair is in good condition for its age with some scuffs and wear to the wood, some minor separation of the veneer, and wear to the fabric.

    Dimensions
    31.0" W x 40.0" H x 23.25" D
    Seat height is 15.5".

I'd call it Eastlake. Part of a set.
