Another cheap little Goodwill store score recently, mostly because I just like red things...? ;-) :-) I doubt it is anything terribly old or unusual in any way except maybe for its smaller size and deep ruby red color, I do think I remember seeing *lots* of very similarly shaped vases in junk stores over the years (which I've never paid much attention to) though they're usually larger and darkish green in color. All those I've always tended to believe were vases commonly supplied with commercially sold 'flower bouquets' for funerals/weddings/hospitals/yada yada...this one might truly be the very same sorta thing.
It is only about 7" tall and 3 - 3.5" at its widest. There aren't any markings whatsoever on it. If anyone does happen to know its maker/style/etc, I'd LOVE to hear your suggestions -- in the meantime, I just need to find it a spot somewhere on a sunny windowsill, maybe (or not?) to hold something besides fresh flowers, so I can just enjoy its *red-ness*...?? <lol>

That's a wise looking cat.
Your vase, by the way, if my memory serves me right (it often doesn't) was made by Anchor Hocking, part of the "Ruby" line - 1940s-60s.
Trust TallCakes!
THANKS SO MUCH TallCakes & artfoot -- I DO indeed trust both of y'alls!!!
:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) CW is such a *wonderful* reference!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
A quick Google search produced several pics of others out there, if its a little older than I might have first guessed I'm certainly not gonna argue about that, even if not a particularly uncommon piece?!!
As others have stated this is from Anchor Hocking's Royal Ruby line of things. In the late 1930s they introduced a line of vases named after US presidents. This vase was called "Harding".
and also made in green:

More THANKS due to blunderbuss2, fortapache, Newfld, WesternPA-Collector, Brunswick, aura, & jscott0363 for stopping by and tapping the <love it> button!
