Mid Century Modern Asian inspired sofa?

My mom purchased these in the 80s used. I'm not sure if they are teak or rosewood? They are very heavy. 2 similar chairs came with the set. No markings on underneath or on the back of the sofa. She had it upholstered as it is now. Has anyone seen anything similar or know if there is a designer this can be attributed to?
