    People often say to me that uranium glass is only made in green. This pair of 30cm. vases range from pale amber at the top to magenta at the base. I haven't found a maker yet and I'm not sure about their age but they are pretty impressive. The design up the side is almost like rows of thorns.

      These are Czech, and ca 1920's. Although not very common to find, Amber Uranium glass is seen occasionally. Not sure who the maker is, but I can say that the only piece of amber uranium glass I have ever had was produced by Kralik. These could possibly be theirs.

      Thanks Broochman and welzebub. Yes I thought they were probably Czech but couldn't find anything like them. I also have some amber uranium dishes I'll post.

      After a lot of searching I have an idea that these may be by Franz Welz. On Google under 1920's Czech glass vases there is a thumbnail picture for the Dealvue website of a similar vase but I can't find it on the website, all 38 pages of it. There are also some photos of spatter glass vases with the same shape but without the thorns which are tentatively attributed to Welz. Apparently he had a factory in Klostergrab Bohemia/ Czechoslovakia.

      For what it is worth, I am not of the opinion that these are Welz production. The style of foot on these is not seen on any Welz production I am familiar with. I am also unaware of any production by Welz in amber colored uranium glass.

      Thanks welzebub, yes the feet look more like something from a 1930's piece by someone like Stolzle. I was going by the overall design of the other vases but it's always difficult because the attributions were not definite so I'll investigate further.

      Vases like this, from this region and era can be extremely difficult to ID accurately.

      NevB;
      I recognize the bottom and the feet of your vases, thinking of 3 vases I have seen decorated by Beyermann&Company. They are having this style at bottom and feet and are in cobalt blue and 35 cm.
      I would love to find out the maker of the glass, too.
