    Just got this at a thrift shop, but before I put it on my lanai, I decide I should
    try to identify it. There are initials on the bottom, but I haven’t been able to match them to an artist.

      It's likely not going to be possible to figure out the artist. It is souvenir or gift ware, designed for the tourist market, with an "Indian" or "Southwest" style, and is not actually Native American. Native American potters are well aware of the need to identify their work by tribal affiliation, in order for it to be sold as such.
