Cameroddit…
(1 item)
This isn't just a working camera, the capsule contains a digital camera, an LED flash, and a wireless transmitter. When swallowed, it takes thousands of pictures during its journey from mouth to... the other end... and transmits them to a hard drive on the patient's belt. It takes about 8 to 10 hours for the trip... after which the images are uploaded from the drive to a computer. They can be viewed as stills, or as a video, which can be incredibly helpful in locating cancers etc in the digestive tract. The camera costs about 1000 dollars, and is a "single use" device, which is normally NOT retrieved from its final destination. This one actually made such a trip, WAS retrieved, and sterilized to within an inch of its life at the clinic. I think I may be the only camera collector in the world with this tiny marvel in his collection. For a 12 minute video tour of my collection, please visit www.cameroddities.com and enjoy! Hi Cam,
I am familiar with your website and have enjoyed your collection for some time now. I must tell you that you're not the only collector in the world with a capsule camera. I have one in my collection and I know of at least one other collector who has one as well. Great minds think alike!
We're flushed with success John! :-)
