I stopped in one of the local thrift shop in town that was having a going out of business sale.Everything was 75 percent off the marked priceAll the jewelry was thrown in plastic bins. I found this vintage silver Taxco Star necklace with a bell 3 mark.My favorite is this old silver bird pendant with turquoise inset.Ive been wearing it around town today and got lots of compliments on it. The last piece is a long hand knitted carnelian and crystal bead necklace with silver clasp.All three items were purchased for a total of 5 .10
All great and well done! I really like the star necklace, timeless and beautifully balanced.
All are very cool- the bird is very tribal looking, and the stars are so lovely and delicate looking!
Thanks for loves and comments.I found out from a dealer friend that bird pendant is actually an old Navajo pawn piece of a silver Thunderbird from the Fred Harvey era.They are said to bring good luck so I’m going to be wearing it awhile . There are some great neighborhood sales coming up this week.
