This 44 star flag was from a home in Port Jefferson Long Island The Bale Family were ship builders in the Port Jefferson area
‘‘This flag was among the items in the home stayed in the family age etc of flag any info would be great . Hand sewn stars 5 x 12 approx
Any idea of when made would be helpful great item

The original stars on a 44 star flag were in a circle.
What age would this be??
Was told old ???
44 star is 1891 to 1896.
Typical pattern is 8-6-6-6-6-8 (stars) in rows.
