Antique Tantalus French?

I recently bought this as we keep bees and I collect glass especially decanters and art glass. These were exceptionally well engraved...reminded me of Moser.....then when I saw the bees I thought Moser....he loved to paint insects etc. The whole thing is really so beautiful with no damage apart from one bee on the back.... I have asked some and they think french Napoleon 111’s wife Empress Eugenia Di Montijo had some connection with bees. (1853-1870). The bees are bronze, and are the border round every panel. The wings are mother of pearl, the wood walnut inlay. Any thoughts???
