My good friend Joe in Oklahoma found this Frigidaire Sign this Summer and sent me pics of it that enticed me to buy it.
Frigidaire was founded in Ft Wayne Indiana in 1916 and was the first refrigerated box in the USA. It was owned by a foreign Company. (Electrolux) .
We don’t normally buy non Gas/Oil signs but decided to expand the Lakeside Museum Collection. We needed to get the trailer and truck unloaded so just stood the sign in front of the 1942 White 1/2 Track until we can find the right place for it. This is a 2 sided neon sign that’s missing the neon. We hope to put it in the new Event Center Building if we can ever get the building permit to get started. I’m not sure what went in the vacant space below the sign? Anyone got an idea?
