Picked this up today. Bike has a really cool looking chainguard on it. Looks like it is missing a tank but I dont know if it is supposed to have one.

When you turn the handlebar it sounds like it has a motor on it. very cool

**Found out more about the bike, it was made by Murray and distributed by JC Penneys.

I had the "handle bar motor-sound grip" on my bikes too. It is aftermarket for sure hahaha...... memories........................

I've only seen pictures of ones, but this was the first one I've ever actually found.

It looks like a 'Sidewalk" bike, it probably came with training wheels since it had hard tires it wasn't really made to go a long ways....What does the headbadge say? I can only read about half of it 'ORTE_______"?
    4. youngpicker96, 13 years ago
      The headbadge says FOREMOST

All I can find is that Foremost was a J.C. Pennys brand and that they had many different companies making bikes with this name so it's going to be very hard to chase down.... Just Enjoy, By the way the fork is bent backwards and the wheel should be farther from the down tube....

made by Murray Bicycle company and sold through JC Penneys stores. these were called Ram rod sidewalk bikes.
here is a link to the murray bicycle site showing the catalog with this same bike.
