    I do not know what this is trying to figure it out I know it seems to be made out of silver it has never been lit I'm assuming they hid it away for some odd reason and FORGOT about it until I was inherited this piece and several others? Anyone if you have anything to tell me about this piece of mine would be greatly appreciated PLEASE AND THANK

      It looks like a sterno burner used to keep food warm on a buffet. Nice.

      I agree with Silverwolf. We had one years ago like this that was the base for a Fondue pot. Ours worked quite well. Way long ago having Fondue was a fad that eventually faded away.
