Just won on Ebay, an important new piece of the puzzle of Czech Interwar Glass Identification.
This is a blue bowl with a black glass fitted plinth, in a decor I had already documented as Ruckl this year, which also belonged to the yellow and base spatter decor which has been identified several years ago, with the help of other collectors.
What I am especially pleased about is this same bowl was made in the orange and dark blue honeycomb, a decor we see on Kralik in different colors, but I always felt the orange as Ruckl with several shapes to confirm this identification.
The dark base spatter is maroon on all the pieces in image 4, this piece has the oval white acid mark as many of the Ruckl pieces have, with MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA along the inside border. Please see my website for more complete information in a new chapter, rucklczglass.com.
Gorgeous blue Ruckl bowl, congrats on the win & love the blue spatter vase too
thanks Jenni, you are number 1 again!
Nice piece, I like the colors together
I cannot comment on whether or not the piece is correctly attributed to Ruckl, however I do think it is a very nice piece and ingenious the way the bowl fits snugly into the plinth. I have not seen this set-up before.
Thank you for the fine comments, and also all the loves CW members, always much appreciated.
