Pictured here is an embossed quart cream separator milk bottle from MILLER YARLING DAIRY...SHELBYVILLE INDIANA. Most of the cream separators milk bottles from Indiana are the embossed variety. I have never been fortunate enough to acquire this particular bottle until today. A difficult choice faced me though. This bottle has a small defect in the cap area. Should I not bid & continue hunting, or should I conservatively bid & use this bottle as an example until a better example is found?? The latter option is obviously the choice I made. Sometimes the opportunity to upgrade rarer bottles takes forever to happen, if at all.
Very exciting! The Miller Yarling Dairy was owned and operated by my great grandparents, Ray & Lorena Miller.
trish.....This Miller Yarling Dairy milk bottle was called a CREAM SEPERATOR style. Notice how the back side of the bottle has a section "cut out". These bottles are also called "DENT" milk bottles. They are highly collectible & rarely seen from Miller Yarling.
