    LOUMANAL
    (436 items)

I found this quite interesting footed bowl with a crimped rim, black edging on the rim and with 3 black applied Prunts on the outside. The main color consists of a yellow spatter over a clear base with fiery red trails over the yellow. It measures 8 1/4" in diameter by 3 1/2" tall and has substantial age wear underneath. Not too many yellow pattern bohemian glass items have been definitely identified as to the maker. I suspect that this one could be by Kralik because of the "S" design on the prunts. There was an extensive discussion in Collector's Weekly about other well known Kralik designs that had similar prunts with the "S" design. Anyone agree? or is it by someone else. If it is by Kralik, it would allow the possible association of many other yellow spatter with red bordering/trailing in our collections. The shape is not commonly seen.
** I have also uploaded this bowl in the Facebook Bohemian Glass Discussion Group.

Looks like that other yellow framed with red spatter I had, also unknown. This one has a couple details that are interesting, the combination of the tooled rim, and the application of another glass color to rim and prunts. It reminds of those tango jars in orange and green, a few collectors here have.

Ian had one in multi spatter and because of that, it was deemed Kralik by some members not including me. Others felt it was Ruckl, but not me. Another one of those maybes.... I'm afraid Bob, thanks for posting, its alway interesting to see more of this interwar Czech glass.

I would be interested in knowing if the piece has a pontil mark of not. If so, how is it finished? Rough grind? Highly polished? just snapped? Thanks

Interesting piece for sure. Usually seen in solid colors.

Thanks Lisa! Yes, looks a lot like the rocket vase that I acquired from a kind friend. I thought that maybe the prunts on the bowl would align it to a known maker but....Bob

Welzebub... it has a pontil that is “umbilical” in shape with some protruding parts but it is not rough as if it was snapped off. It is not polished either. Thanks for the interest, Bob

Truthordare, I noticed that this Knuckle vase has the exact same prunts with the “S” shape as mine....aren’t knuckle vases mostly made by Kralik?
    10. truthordare truthordare, 5 years ago
Well no, you will find many Loetz tango one color with prunts, usually flat, Ruckl has few with a knob on top of the round, and Kralik has several types as well, including the S ones, but not everybody agrees on these being Kralik. So up to you.

Forgot to say, the knuckle pieces are also divided depending on decors, but most of them do not have prunts at all.
