These satin finish Candle-holders were found on this past weekend's (last kick at the cat) antique foraging trip. I also found an interesting bowl that I have listed separately. I have had similar vases in this particular elongated subdued-colours spatter and I think that they were identified as RUCKL. These candle holders measure 4 3/8" tall by 3 3/4" in diameter and have shiny grey semi- circular CZECHOSLOVAKIA markings underneath. Do you agree that they are Ruckl? If not, then by whom? The question is not that simple to answer Bob. I think what we call tan spatter, because the layer of exterior glass is not clear but tan in color in a satin finish, does have some pieces that correspond to Ruckl shapes, many do not, and the glass itself varies in tone, from very light to very dark.
Eza who was the main collector here for these pieces, as well as Ian Brighton and me, discussed it and she agreed that there were too many different shapes and decors to be produced by only one company.

Truthordare.......very interesting link! I see that the candleholders in Eza’s Photos are identical in shape to mine. I can see the tan connection now..
