This piece was found in a thrift shop near Toronto. It was created in Japan probably in the 60s. I could only find it on a Russian site so couldn’t get any further information. Unfortunately the sticker is missing, but the reverse lookup matched perfectly. It is considered Showa Retro which is very popular. This is a really nice addition to my art glass collection as it is my first Japanese piece.

Hi Tracy, and welcome to CW.
1960 is very early in Kurata's production of decor glass, prior to hat they made scientific glass, so this interesting!
Would you be able to post a pic of the base of this bowl please? And if you can find it, also the link to the Russian ID.
I have seen similar colors and styles from Iwata Glass,

      Thanks Tracy for that.
The Russian site is actually from Yahoo Sales, which is Japanese Ebay. I have no doubt this is Japanese, just not so sure it's Kurata. Doesn't matter, yellow glass is relatively rare and it's pretty cool.
