Prewar Lionel Train set 248 - late 1920s - early 1930s

I found this Lionel train set in my grandparents basement. I haven't tested to see if it works at this point. From what I understand, this set was produced between 1927-1931. It includes an engine and 2 cars, with an orange metal tin exterior. It could all use a good cleaning at this point.
