Wooden Nut bowl with what looks like ceramic hand painted squirrel - anyone seen anything like it before?

The signature I think is IH then says 1548.

Anyone know which wood this is?
    5. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 5 years ago
I can't tell the species of wood but probably from Indonesia where things like this are mass produced for the American market.

Ahhh thank you so much fhrjrz, interesting - do you reckon 60's maybe?
    7. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 5 years ago
No, I would never reckon that. If you add about 20 years I might begin to believe it.

Lol it looks really old, I even thought it could be 1578, might have to stick to the day job ;) thanks.
