What a strange little creature! I love his colour, it's such a lovely shade of wine that can look black or brown too. His pose is adorable, its the perfect pose seen in such an inquisitive little creature(He looks like he's just spotted something!)
Just wondering are these creatures called Groundhogs? And is this near Groundhog day? I just ask because we don't have them where I live!

Lol Kevin we often think alike with our glass animals lately! I'm sure you saw this also came in a slag glass brown, but I thought the transparent brown looked more like the real animal. However, SO difficult to photograph, even with intense indoor lighting he came out black, and in sunlight it's also pretty dark, thanks for the super comment

Thanks Karen I love to wear the color brown esp at this time of year, great idea and cool comment :)

Ken thank you for seeing the cute here, I agree & am glad to find a new animal to show for a change, appreciate the kind compliment

Thanks Eileen, that is the first thing I noticed on this guy, his adorable buck teeth lol! That is such a great rhyme memory, one of those tongue twisters, and you're right a woodchuck & groundhog are the same animal! Lovely compliments as always

Lauren you are absolutely right here, a woodchuck is the same as groundhog, which we make a big deal about here every Feb 2, supposedly they predict the winter duration but are often wrong I'm afraid. I called this woodchuck or gopher as those were its original names from Imperial Glass. Yes he is rather alert looking, love your always wonderful comment

Thomas my smile giver, wasn't that a cute school tongue twister, I think it ends "he would chuck what wood a woodchuck would chuck if a woodchuck COULD chuck wood." Funny the things you remember, thanks for the super reminder!

Such a cutie! Don’t know that I’ve seen a glass gopher before. So unique

Thanks MrsT for the super compliment and love, I know, never saw one of these burrowing guys before myself, and just happened upon this one, he reminds me of the gopher in Caddyshack lol!

LOL, yeah I have mine on a window ledge and it just casts a dark shadow on my dining room floor. Not a great color for a color junkie...

I know Kevin, you would think the clear brown glass would be easy to photograph but they must've added black in the glass (Viking did that alot too). He's a cutie anyway right, great facial features

Sean I am always grateful for the kind love and support, thank you so much

Thanks so much Hoot for the love here and bringing this guy around, I always get a chuckle seeing this toothy fellow! The photos were so challenging as I wanted his cute Alvin the chipmunk type face to show up & finally found a sunny angle

I think its a Beaver but who could tell with the tail lopped off. Here is a case for a detective ! Aggressive face, as if a Communistic Chinese dead leader, just saying. The colour is wonderful !~

lol Phil he does appear to be standing at attention like one of Chairman Mao's soldiers!! And those big teeth really do have a beaver look to them, keen eye and very fun comment :)

Thanks Phil & aura for the love it's always much appreciated
