I believe this Bikini Girl is from the 1950's , but can't find anything like her at all. Would love to know more about her , if anybody has any information, that would be awesome.

The Orchid in her hair caught my eye immediately. First one like this I ever saw was in a gas station around 1958 or 60. These girls were on calendars, they were like this one but the gas station had her on the desk using her for a paperweight. They were also made attached to ashtrays or holding an ashtray. Many had grass skirts and a bra or topless. Back then you would only see them in places like the gas station, men's barber shops, liquor stores etc. Places women weren't inclined to go.

So you love orchids, do you?! Lol!
Your statement about places women were not inclined to go brought back a few memories to me:
Women did not pump gas....I remember that well!
And ladies did not frequent liquor stores....very bad for the reputation!
Oh, I was about to forget to say that I like your lady because she’s not a skinny stick with implants here and there.....she has a realistic look with a little meat on her bones. :^)

Watchsearcher actually I do like orchids and my wife carried a huge bouquet of orchids when we got married.

fhrjr2, please forgive me, that was my silliness coming out. I’ve read the sweet things you have written about your wife....those orchids must have been even more beautiful in her hands.

watchsearcher no offense taken. As it happens I have three pictures of her holding those orchids on a shelf right over my computer. They are 50 years old now but still crisp and clear as are the memories.

That’s so sweet and touching. Love endures.
I’m honored that you shared those words.

Fhrjr2 Thank you very much. Any idea who made them? Or what calendars they were from?
    8. fhrjr2 fhrjr2, 5 years ago
I have no idea who made them but they were even available way at the back end of the five and ten cent store. Some of the calendars were made by gas and oil companies and the back room calendars (the nudies) I could have cared less who made them I was only interested in what days holidays came on so had to flip through the pages.
