Vale of Garnock silver pewter brooch designed by Hugh Davidson

This brooch is about 2.75" x 1.5". It is silver pewter but is not marked and has no makers mark. It was made by Vale of Garnock, a family business and designed by Hugh Daviidson. It was made circa 1996-7. The pin popped off and I've never had it fixed.

I bought this in December 1997 when I was a member of a wedding party in Aberdeen, Scotland. My friend was marrying a Dundee girl. One of my ancestors was from St. Andrews and was on the losing side at the Battle of Dunbar in 1650 and was deported to Maryland, so I made it a point to take the bus to St. Andrews.

I wanted a souvenir of my visit, but the main street in St. Andrews is surprisingly touristy, so I hit the back streets and found a small thrift shop where I found this pin. I don't recall if I haggled on the price, or not. I did not remember that there was a label on the box when I looked at the pin today and thought I was going to have to mark this as a mystery until I turned it over. Vale of Garnock seems to be extinct as a jewelry maker.
