Here's a large porcelain haisen i found at the flea market today. A haisen is used for washing shared tea cups in a tea ceremony. this one is twice the size of another one i have. I have no idea it's age, but i love the plant used in the vase painted inside it. It is a water plant known as a 'lance-leaf arrowhead' or sagittaria and is a very unusual plant for a vase.
