I posted pics of this here on CW a long time ago. I was wondering whether it was jade or not. Some suggested that it was a beautiful marble or serpentine. I've used it to photograph thousands of pieces on it and never a scratch on it. in fact, it gets more beautiful the more i handle it. I've determined that it is nephrite [jade] possibly from British Colombia. I have some marble pieces i use for the same purpose, and those are all scratched up even though i don't use them as much.
