Purchased this yesterday at an Antique Show in Puyallup, Wa. Favorite colors. I was amazed at the beautiful detailing. My guess is that it's not vintage but rather newer? How would I find out who that signature belongs to? Where would I begin to search? What words would you use to describe this style?
It's about 7 1/2 " tall. Matt glaze. lilac, aqua blues or aqua greens.
I’d agree, newer. Think I’d call the form organic. Closeup of signature is clipped, what’s the first letter? Try dusting the dig with cinnamon to increase the contrast.

I meant to add that I thought it might be an N. But the rest is just a Jumble of scribble. Since I bought it in Wash. and the sellers were from Oregon, I believe, I'll try corresponding with a few Retail stores that specialize in Studio Art Pottery.
I just found someone who was able to identify my vase. Aistists are a couple from Oregon. Brenda & Alan Newman. They're pottery has won many, many awards. What I don't know is which of the pair is the artist. Their style is Organic in style. I believe they are retired now. They do have a FB page. Happy Ending to My Mystery Vase!

Their works are soft and elegant , I just love the muted color glazes ; I have 4 stemmed pieces by them all found in thrift stores in Md. and Va. and was lucky that a matched set had stickers from the art gallery they sold from . Gorgeous Vase Victoria.

Thank you for posting this! I have an almost identical vase, same signature, that I've been wondering about for several years. I think I picked it up at the Palmer-Wirf Expo Antique Show in Portland, but hadn't been able to identify the potter.
