    I think that I may have seen an example of this finish on a Viking vase one time before, maybe in an auction, but I may also be imagining that. I have posted several examples of this vase in the past, but this is the first completely satin finished piece of Viking I have seen in the wild and also the first decorated piece. I was surprised. It is the first time I have been to a thrift shop in a week, or so and I found two Viking pieces that I could not pass up. Sigh.
