Can anyone tell me about this lamp??? It belonged to my grandmother and the shade is missing, it is kind of ugly a marble base and these things that hang on the sides, also the pretty red glass in the middle. Thank you Kim Stanley kstanley1960@hotmail.com

hi kim -- your lamp does not appear to be as it was originally made -- the cranberry ball has the shinny brass along with the brass the marble is anchored to -- the upper appears to be the older original gilded (spelter maybe) piece -- maybe in its former life it was part of a chandelier -- wiring also seems to have been reworked -- did granny have a love to mix n match perhaps -- with the right shade it will be a beauty in your home and will serve to remind you of your grandmother
