Glass lid with gold, can't find what it goes to . but it is very pretty.
I know the top will give some kind of indentity,

looks to be the top to a butter dish; what are the dimensions. Possibly EAPG but haven't been able to ID it yet. I'll have to look thru a couple of books.

It is a top to a butter dish. It was made by New Martinsville Glass Co, and is their "Klear-Kut" pattern, introduced about 1906.
