Engineers bayonet. Looks kind of new or in really great condition.

I think I have solved it. A P1879 artillery sawback bayonet. This one was refurbished to fit the 18mm barrel. It has the Birmingham stamp. It was left to me. In almost perfect shape, including the sheath. I have found that several thousand of these were refurbished and issued to English soldiers. Many were taken as trophies by Irish soldiers. I think I have one of very few that were left in this great condition. If anyone can confirm this or have information to the contrary, please post.
