I found this fender while out hiking around N. Arizona. A friend of mine wants to incorporate it into a "bobber" he is building. Thought I should try and ID it first. The trim piece running down the middle appears to be stainless steel. It has multiple colors on it, but the outermost color is close to OD green. The reason I think it is from a sidecar is the fact that there are two rivets on one side of the unit only. I see no evidence of any other possible mounting points whatsoever. Anyone out there have any idea what it is from? I have looked at pictures of many vintage motorcycles and sidecars but have seen nothing like it. Thanks for your help.

It looks like the top half of a spare tire cover from a custom van of the 70's or 80's, the outer 'skin' towards the rear would not have been rivited hence no holes.....Maybe somebody else has different ideas, that is mine.

That's a pretty good call. I was beginning to think it was a cover myself after showing it to some people. It's only 6 inches wide and appears to be for a taller, skinnier tire. One person suggested it was from the 20's. Thanks for your input.
