I bought this chain bracelet online a few years ago.
It’s only markings are on the rather odd clasp:
Initials JTH, then a word I cannot make out. It looks like “Da——-“ or “Do——“.
Googling JTH, I came up with Jens Tage Hansen, a Denmark jewelry maker but I did not find anything of his with this clasp which is very unusual to me.....
Also, Jens Tage Hansen’s jewelry that I saw online is signed in script rather than block letters, and contains the word “Denmark”, so I’m doubting this is his.
It’s kind of a brassy-gold color, and measures 8” long including the clasp.
The clasp is very secure since it takes a bit of direct pressure to disengage it.
Since it’s just the right weight, style and color to hold this ornament I have (which was probably part of a watch fob), it’s my intention to reshape the ornament’s damaged jump-ring and attach it to the chain.
I would love to know who the maker of this chain-link bracelet is.
Any info and comments are welcomed and appreciated!
Thanks for looking.
Thank you, Broochman, for the tip. I’ll try that when the temp gets a bit higher....it was 20s last nite and only 30s now.
I always read your responses to other members and your input.
That last part of that name is a blur, even when examining it with a loupe.
Thank you to all who “loved” the bracelet:

Has anyone seen a clasp like this?
Valentino97, thanks for the love and I’m so glad you like my upcycle plan.
It took a bit of trial and error to figure out how the clasp goes together, but once I did, I really like it.
I know it's been a while since this post but I have the same chain with clasp JTH double on it like you I have never seen one of these kind of clasp before I got two necklaces at the thrift store I was wondering if you ever figured out the maker?
Hello Denise61, after much searching online, I did find those initials and info about Jens Tage Hansen, from Denmark.
I found his work using those same chain links as my bracelet and signed with the same initials and “Denmark”, but with a different clasp.
I’m confident he’s the maker but it would make me happy to know more….such as did he patent the clasp and why did use other clasps?
My intention was to try to make contact to ask for confirmation that this bracelet was his work and to find out more about the clasp design….I got sidetracked with other things and did not get around to that.
Much of the info was not in English so that was a bit of a roadblock for me.
I would love to see your items!
Would you please post yours? Maybe having another post and more pictures would generate more info.
