All I can say is this is an interesting piece that has a lot of potential for repurposing. It seems to be a vintage plated window with iron bars that was framed in a shadow box. Behind the frame is chicken wire holding what seems to be dried plant life. On the back of the frame it says “The Perfect View” and “Detroit c. 1900.”
The frame is painted with specs of gold seemingly to have been painted with leaves. If I were to hang this I would want to paint the frame white to make the flowers and the window bars pop a bit more. As it is, it kind of gets lost. I’m just not sure what I’m going to do without this yet. I like the fact that it is long and would look good on a wall. I think originally is was made to be vertical, based on the iron bar design.
If anyone has info on it, please let me know. Thanks!
