Office Antiques216 of 1931 Turn till ,until sharp and Point-Ted Brass weird pot ?  Any idea ?

    Can any body tell me anything about this fan not sure of the maker Around the year it was made it does work it works great and if some one could give me an idea of how much it may be worth that would be great thank you so muck

      Maybe Westinghouse Electric Company? Does the motor have any markings? The motor appears painted over but maybe you can check for a name on the motor. Nice item!

      The answer to the puzzle is right there on the front. The badge has a W with an E inside one wing and Co inside the other. Possibly Westinghouse or even Western Electric. I'm not familiar with that badge but I have seen the badges only (without the fan) sell for over $100. I would say it is worth the time to research it.

      Additionally we don't ask values here. There is an appraisal link at the top of the page for that. It is written in the site rules that you didn't read.

      I agree w/ fhrjr2 in all respects. Please, however, make sure to add a little actual light *oil* to its motor after the WD-40 you have already used on it -- WD-40 is great stuff for helping to dissolve/wash out old grunge from its motor's bearings, but *isn't* actually a very good lubricant by itself in the long term... :-) :-)
