my husband inherited this. It is a German festival wine goblet. I wanted to state the name on the goblet but it would not let me because of a syntax error because it was in German. Numbered festival wine goblet. his dad was stationed all over Europe while in the military many years ago.

Very likely that this goblet was made by the Gerz Pottery in Germany. Although I can not see a mark it does have the "handgemalt (handpainted)" stamp that is put on most Gerz items.

It is the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden, Germany. My oldest son was born in Wiesbaden. Kurhaus is the town convention center but I suspect this item is not from a festival but a souvenir from the Kurhaus as it is also a huge casino that allows some of the biggest bets in the country.

my father in law was in the military and his tour took him over there back in the late 1950's to early 1960's.
