This brooch is more than 2 1/2 inches and in pretty good shape. I believe that the decoration is a transfer print, possibly hand embellished. based on the setting I would date the brooch to the late Victorian era.
There is a number on the porcelain but so far it hasn't led to anything.
The brooch needs a gentle cleaning but is otherwise in excellent condition.
